About Us
We're not a company. We're a family.
Silent Shield started at our kitchen table in Fort Worth.
Our son didn't speak for the first three years of his life. We carried the same fear the whole time: that he'd get separated from us, someone would find him, and he'd have no way to tell them who he was or how to reach us.
So I made something that could speak for him. A small tag, a phone tap, and everything a stranger would need to know.
Other parents asked for one. Then people we'd never met. Today Silent Shield is used by families across the country — for autism and nonverbal communication, epilepsy, diabetes, dementia, heart conditions, and kids who just get lost in crowds.
We still make them ourselves. Every keychain is designed, 3D printed, and assembled here in Fort Worth. Wristbands are manufactured to our specs, then programmed, tested, and packed by us before they ship. Your order goes out of a house in Texas, not a warehouse.
And we still listen. We received hundred of coments when our Keychain released on how it could be better, we adapted and delivered. A customer once told us the band was too small for her son. So we started offering youth/adult sizing. That's more or less how every version of this product has happened. We are here to make a difference and it takes a village.
