Set Up Your Silent Shield

Set Up Your Silent Shield

Setting up your Silent Shield takes less than a minute and requires no app.

To begin, make sure your phone is ready to scan. On iPhone, NFC is already enabled by default, so no action is needed. On Android devices, NFC can be turned on through your phone’s settings under Connections.

To start setup, hold the top of your phone near the Silent Shield. You may need to move your phone slightly until it connects. If you are using a thick phone case, removing it can help improve detection.

Once connected, your phone will guide you through a short setup process. You will be asked to enter your emergency information and create a secure PIN. This PIN ensures that only you can edit the information in the future.

After saving your details, your Silent Shield is immediately active and ready to use.

How Silent Shield Works

In an emergency, anyone can scan the Silent Shield using a smartphone. The information you provided will appear instantly, allowing first responders or bystanders to understand how to help.

Emergency contacts can be called directly from the screen with a single tap. The information is view-only, and only you can make changes using your PIN.

Updating Your Information

To make changes, simply scan your Silent Shield again and select the option to edit your information. You will be prompted to enter your PIN before any updates can be made.

If you forget your PIN, you can contact Silent Shield support for assistance with resetting access.

If Your Phone Doesn’t Scan

If your phone does not immediately connect, try repositioning it slowly over the shield. Removing thick or bulky phone cases can improve performance. Android users should also confirm that NFC is enabled in their device settings. If needed, testing with another smartphone can help determine compatibility.

Silent Shield works with most modern smartphones.

Security and Privacy

Silent Shield is designed with simplicity and privacy in mind. No account is required, and no app needs to be installed. The system does not track location or personal activity.

Information is only displayed when the Silent Shield is physically scanned, ensuring that access remains intentional and controlled.
