Setting up your Silent Shield takes less than one minute.
No app required.

Before You Begin

Make sure NFC is enabled on your phone.

iPhone
NFC is always on — no settings required.

Android
Settings → Connections → NFC → On

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Scan the Silent Shield

Hold the top of your phone directly over the Silent Shield.

You may need to slightly move the phone until it connects.
(Thick phone cases can sometimes affect positioning.)

2. Follow the On-Screen Instructions

You’ll be prompted to:

  • Enter emergency information

  • Create a secure PIN

This PIN allows only you to edit the information later.

3. Save Your Information

Once saved, your Silent Shield is active immediately.

That’s it. Your Silent Shield is now active.

Using Silent Shield in an Emergency

Anyone can scan the shield to view the information you provided.

Emergency contacts can be called instantly with one tap.

  • Information is view-only

  • Only the owner can make changes using their PIN

Updating Your Information

Scan the shield again and select Edit.
You’ll be prompted to enter your PIN.

Forgot your PIN?
Contact Silent Shield support and we will help reset it.

If Your Phone Doesn’t Scan

Try the following:

  • Remove thick phone cases

  • Slowly reposition the phone over the shield

  • Confirm NFC is enabled (Android)

  • Try a different phone if available
